Abstract:

Objective To investigate the patency and clinical outcome of peripheral cutting balloon(PCB)in treatment of visceral vessel restenosis.

Methods

Sixteen visceral vessel in-stent restenosis,in which 12 renal artery restenosis,2 superior mesenteric artery(SMA)restenosis,2 vessel restenosis after transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS),underwent angioplasty by PCB.Clinical data were collected.

Results

All procedure were carried out successfully on 16 patients, and no serous complications occurred. The symptoms die not recur in all patients after the procedure.During a mean follow-up of(37±21)months(ranging 9 to 92 months),3 vessel restenosis were found.

Conclusions

CBA is safe and effective for treatment of vessel in-stent restenosis. The early and midterm results are encouraging, but long term results require further follow-up and observation.
